As a part time hobby knife maker my emphasis is on quality and continuous improvement rather than quantity. I do not get much time for making knives but I use every opportunity to learn more about the craft and to collect tools, gadgets and materials.<\/p>\n

I prefer to use premium quality blade steel like Damasteel, RWL34, N690 and mosaic Damascus by Ettore Gianferrari. For handle materials I prefer African hard wood, Ivory, Carbon fiber and other synthetic materials.<\/p>\n

My association with the Cape Knifemakers Guild introduced me to a growing group of talented and enthusiastic knife makers with a wealth of knowledge and experience that they are willing to share freely.<\/p>\n
